what r the benefid of rebirthing a pet

ok, pet rebirths are visual only. no skill advancement gains at all. You can use the same or a different pet card to rebirth the pet. After rebirth it starts as level 1 of whichever card you used with the stats, skills, appearance, etc of a pet of the card used. You keep your pet's name and inventory. Nothing else

so rebirthing a pet is a waste of time

You would rebirth to gain more skills.

For example if you had a cow - cows don't have smash or counterattack.

If you rebirth your cow to a dog it would gain those skills - smash and counterattack.

Its a conspriacy, lol, you could ask Pyromaster he rebirthed his bear. perhaps the mabinogi world wiki might have some answers.

the only positive thing i see is as shionquet mentioned you can change the pet type, so... drumroll... you keep the name!!! lol so make it a funny one, its stuck for life no matter what the pet is. which is a long time in Erinn. but yeah thats the only benefit for 5 bucks I see

no no you're all wrong! *puts on official looking mabi-know-it-all-robes* *muahem* shion IS correct about keeping the skills. HOWEVER, for a cow to have those skills you need to rebirth a dog into a cow not the other way around. all the things that sorai wrote/said/typed w.e you want to call it is correct. also pet-specific skills such as milk production in cows, cobwebs from spiders, wool from sheeps, etc. will NOT be carried over to the new rebirth unless you rebirthed the pet in question into the same speices. that is all.

lol i name my pets after light based things for example:

fox: Shininglight
dog: Etherealsun
horsie porsie: Moonlitlance

my cow and pig are gotsome(whattheyproduce)
and my bear someone bought for me soo. XD

ill solve this matter right now when you rb a pet to a differnt type of pet such as a cat to a wolf your cats skills of firebolt and icebolt will be there when it is the wolf it just cant use those skills b/c it is infact a differnt pet. however if the pet doesnt know smash and other skills like that that it would origianal learn it will gain them from lvling as the new pet and the pet will have all of the origianal skillz but cant use them due to it being a differnt pet. does that clearify it all for you?

so...in short...the pets will have the skillz just wont be able to use em? you sure bro? maybe the pets just dont know how but can you use em or set an AI with them? i mean the skillz are there they should work right? XD

the only way it can use the skills is if it is in their original move set. otherwise they r unuseable
